MediCabinet is designed with your privacy in mind. Currently, the core functionality of the app operates locally on your device.
Local Data Storage: Information you enter into the app (e.g., medicine names, family profiles, storage locations, schedules, and medical notes) is stored locally on your device using an internal database (SQLite). We do not collect, transmit, or store this sensitive health data on our servers.
Camera and Photos: The app requests access to your device's camera and photo library strictly to allow you to attach images to your medicine records. These images remain on your device.
Notifications: We request permission to send you local push notifications for medication reminders and expiry alerts. These are scheduled and triggered directly by your device's operating system.
If you choose to upgrade to MediCabinet Pro, payments are processed securely through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not collect or have access to your credit card or billing information. Your purchase history is managed by the respective app store.
We may use standard, anonymized analytics and crash reporting tools (provided by platforms like Expo, Apple, or Google) to understand how the app is used and to fix technical bugs. This data does not contain any of your personal medical cabinet information.
If we introduce cloud backup or sync features in the future, it will be strictly on an opt-in basis, and we will update this Privacy Policy to reflect how your data will be securely encrypted and handled.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
